To synchronize your balances, trades and orders with Coinbase Pro, you need to create API keys that authorize Coffer to connect with your account. 


Follow these easy steps to get your Coinbase Pro account API keys and add them to Coffer: 

  1. Login to your Coinbase Pro account
  2. Select "API" from your Account drop-down menu (top right corner).
  3. Start the creation of a new API key by clicking on the button “+New API key”.
  4. Complete the following screen before clicking on “Create API Key”:
    1.  Fill the “API Key nickname” field with any name you'd like (ex. Coffer - Coinbase Pro)
    2. Select “View” and/or “Trade” under permissions to only allow read permissions and/or trade permissions.
    3. Make sure to copy/paste the Passphrase to a safe place, as it will only be displayed at this time. 
  5. Enter your 2-step verification code (sent by SMS or your 2fa app).
  6. Coinbase Pro will show now your API Secret.
    Make sure to copy/paste your API Secret to a safe place, as it will only be displayed at this time. If you lose this key, you will need to delete your API Secret and create new one.
  7. Now you just need to get the API Key shown for your new connection in the API settings list: 
  8. Finally, go to the Exchange tab in the Coffer app and click on the + sign (top right corner) to add a new connection.
  9. Select "Coinbase Pro" from the list of available exchanges.
  10. On the next screen you can:
    1. Edit your Connection name (by default we propose the name of the exchange, “Coinbase Pro” in this case).
    2. Paste your API Key, API Secret and Passphrase just generated in your Coinbase Pro account.
  11. Click “Add Exchange” and your new Coinbase Pro connection will be synced with.
  12. Your new connection will show now as available in the list of Exchanges and you’ll see your investments after the sync is complete.
